About the Capitol Police via their website:
"The Delaware Capitol Police began as a three-man unit in 1965 to watch over Legislative Hall in order to deter vandalism of the property." Read more at http://capitolpd.delaware.gov/capitol_police_history.shtml. The department is also on Facebook.
This photo was taken 9/11/14 during the Veterans Escort to the Freeman Stage in southern Delaware. Wounded warriors who come to stay for a week in Bethany with Operation Seas the Day are invited to a concert at Bayside on Route 54 in west Fenwick Island. They are escorted for the eight mile trip by over a hundred police cars, fire trucks, motorcycles and antique vehicles - local residents line the streets waving flags and it's a wonderful way for our community to show our appreciation to these veterans and their families.
