The Pittsville Brickhouse: "Fire Department Turned Restaurant"

I finally got a chance to go by this former fire station located in Pittsville, Maryland last week. The weather wasn't the best for taking pictures but they still came out fine....although I'd love to get inside and be able to wander around one day when no one else is there. (because that's when you take the best pictures, right?)

A stately building full of details and textures...
It looks just as good in black and white as it did in color.
I hope to get inside and wander around.....imagine what stories this building holds from years past.

Although it began as the local fire station it's been converted for many years now.
Located on Maryland's eastern shore, on Old Ocean City Road between Salisbury and Berlin.
The outdoor area fencing is covered in vintage license plates.
Listing of members of thePittsville Volunteer Fire Company from 1929 remains on this stone marker at the front corner.
Will be posting more pics of this place from inside soon I hope.
