Architecture and Buildings of Delmarva | Deer's Head in Salisbury, MD

This stately old hospital building is located in Salisbury (Wicomico County). Originally constructed during the 1950s it has now been renovated and is used as a nursing home and other medical departments. Unfortunately I have yet to run across anyone who has any real information on it's history and uses through the years.













"Deer's Head Hospital was established in 1950 with Robert J. Gore, M.D., as Chief Physician and had facilities for 284 patients." Source
